SHEPHERD is based on the award-winning and best-selling novel The Jewish Dog by Asher Kravitz. Caleb, a beloved German shepherd, joined his Jewish family when the Nuremberg Laws were passed during the Second World War in Berlin. He was adopted by an SS officer who trained him to attack and assemble Jews in a concentration camp. Caleb is well looked after and good at his work until the day when he lets himself be distracted by a familiar scent.
